Bought a camera on Facebook and now they want more money for insurance and stamps
Next day I get a text saying I need a refundable insurance policy for $599. I looked up the website transbitcargo.com and did some research. Seemed legit so I paid through Apple Pay. Then the next day I got another text from Memphis saying the package was there and they wanted a Diplomatic stamp for $699. That's when I knew it was a scam.
I told Jim Wallace about it. He was supposed to go in and straighten things out but I haven't heard from him. I refused to pay the $699. The package is supposedly sitting in Memphis. I don't even know where Jim dropped it off or what store. I emailed the only email I had for them in Los Angeles and got no response. I have the text chain and shipping info but that's it. Lost $1650 total.
