Fake passport renewal site not connected to the government

I went to travel.state.gov to renew my passport and that was a mistake. It’s not a real government site. They’re not affiliated with the U.S. Government at all. I thought it was official but it’s a scam.

I didn’t lose any money luckily but I feel stupid for almost falling for it. They make it look legit. I just want people to know you should only get your passport through your local U.S. Postal Service office. Don’t use that website.
