Loan scam with fake approval and Triad won’t fix their mistake

A guy named Ben called my husband Michael and said he was approved for a $7,000 loan. Then Ben put money into Michael’s account and told him to go to Walmart and wire it back to him through Walmart. He did this twice.

We tried calling Ben back and the phone number was disconnected. The next day we found out that two of Michael’s mortgage payments were reversed by Triad Financial and sent to the scammer instead. Triad Financial will not give the two payments back to us even though it was their fault for sending the money to someone else. They never even called Michael to ask if he wanted those payments reversed.
