Got a scary "final notice" letter in the mail for my elderly mother
I got this letter in the regular mail. It had no company address or name on it, just said FINAL NOTICE. It was implying my mother needed to pay for insurance. My mother is 90 years old.
I called the number on the letter, 1(877) 455-3920, to find out who it was from. The man said the company was True Auto. He looked up a code and my mother's name came up. I told him this felt like elder abuse and that I was going to report them. He actually told me, proudly, that True Auto has an A+ rating. I looked it up and sadly, they do. The whole thing just feels wrong.

Got a fake "final notice" letter about a car warranty I don't even have.
I got this letter in the mail marked "FINAL NOTICE" and it says "Immediate Response Requested" about a vehicle warranty expiring. The whole thing is made to look official, like it's from a car company or maybe the government. It has stuff on it like "Warranty Extension Approval Department" and "For Official Use Only."
But it's just a solicitation from some company called True Auto. The thing is, I don't even own a vehicle. So that just shows it's a deceptive mailing. They're using wrong information to try and scare people into calling their sales number, which is 1-877-455-3920. The letter had a code on it too: i146751378. It's just a pressure tactic.

Got letters about car warranty, called and got pressured
I got a bunch of letters in the mail from True Auto about my car warranty. I called the number to see what it was about. The guy who answered asked for my VIN number and my car's mileage. Then he gave me a quote and the price was really high, so I said no thanks.
When I said no, he wouldn't let it go. He started pushing me to answer more questions and I just had to hang up the phone to get him to stop. I've never even heard of True Auto before, and that price they quoted me makes the whole thing sound like a scam.
