Voicemail about legal documents and a file number
He gave some file number with letters spelled out like delta and alpha, and mentioned an address on some lane. Said if I can't get the documents after 2 attempts it would be a failed action to serve and the matter would proceed without my consent. Told me to call 866-709-2068 to reschedule or ask questions.
The number he called from was (301) 786-5620. He also said the call was logged as proof I was notified. I don't have any pending legal matter that I know of and I never got anything in writing about this. Just a voicemail out of nowhere.

He said they would only try twice and I would need to sign for it. If I wasn't there, it would be a failed action to serve and the legal matter would just move forward without me. He gave a number to call back, 866-709-1977, if I had questions or needed to reschedule.
The whole thing felt off. No company name I recognized, just this courier service I never heard of. I don't know what legal matter he was talking about and he didn't say. Just said the call was logged and I was notified. I have no idea what this is about.

Phone call about legal document delivery with a file number
He said they will only try 2 times to deliver and I have to sign for it. If I miss it, it counts as a failed action to serve and the matter goes forward without me. Then he said to call 866-449-2046 if I need to reschedule.
The whole thing felt strange. No company name on the caller ID, just a number (986) 203-3337. I never got anything in writing from any law firm. It sounds like a phishing scam to me.
