Government website lookalike charged me for free passport forms

I was trying to renew my passport and found this site www.unitedpassport.com. It looked official enough so I thought it was the real government website. They charged me $183.55 to fill out forms that are supposed to be free.

I didn't realize until later that I paid a third party company. They pretend to be a government agency. The email they used was [email protected]. I never got any actual help from them just a confirmation of payment.

Feels like a total scam. They are just taking money for something you can do yourself for free on the real government site.

Website made me pay $183 for passport forms I could do myself

I went to unitedpassport.com because I needed to get a passport. They make it look like they are a carrier service that helps you apply. At the end they charged me $183 for a normal passport. The actual passport fee is $100 and the application fee is $35 so they are charging way more.

They make it seem like you are paying for the passport itself and they will ship it to you. But all they do is print out the forms you already filled out online. Then you still have to do all the work yourself to actually get the passport. The order form even says "US Passport Order" which is totally misleading. This is a complete scam and they know it. They need to either take this website down or put much bigger disclaimers on there.

Paid for passport help and only got free forms

I found this company online, they said they could help with my passport application. Seemed legit enough. I paid them $185 for the full service.

What they sent me was just the free paperwork you can get from the government website. At the bottom of the page in small print it said I still had to pay the actual passport fees myself. So I basically paid them $185 for nothing I couldn't have gotten for free. And I already gave them all my personal info before I realized what happened. Their email is [email protected].

Website came up first when I searched for passport help

I googled for passport stuff and their website popped up first so I thought it was legit. It’s not an official site at all. They promise they can expedite things but they don’t actually do it.

I paid them $360 for what they said would be fast service. I never got anything real back. They just took my money and now they won’t answer. Their phone number is (999) 999-9999 and they use [email protected].

I feel stupid for trusting a website that just came up first in search results. But it looked real enough at the time. Now I’m out the money and still need my passport.

Getting harassed by aggressive loan calls I never signed up for

I keep getting these harassing loan calls from 888-269-4978. They call me non-stop, even after I tell them to stop calling. It's driving me crazy.

They are very aggressive and rude on the phone. I never gave them my number or applied for any loan with them. I think they got my info from some shady website. They call from different numbers sometimes, but the main one is that 888 number. They just won't stop.

Deceptive website pretended to be the real passport agency

I got a website called United Passport, unitedpassport.com, that is pretending to be the government passport agency. They ask for all your sensitive information but they can't even process a real passport order. I thought it was the real US government site because it's the first result on Google. The branding, the fonts, the colors, everything is made to look official and deceive you.

I gave them my daughter's sensitive information. I am just devastated.
