Got a weird text from USPS about an urgent message

I got a text message today. It said it was from the United States Postal Service. The text said "Urgent message please check attachment." That was the whole thing.

It felt off. I didn't click anything. There was no attachment I could see, just the text. The message came from a phone number: (929) 347-5253. It said the sender was in NY, USA.

I never signed up for texts from the post office. I don't know why they'd text me an urgent message like that. It just seems like a scam.
