Got a scary call about legal action against my dad

I got a call from someone at (530) 395-3031. They said they were trying to get a signature from my dad for some legal accusations. They claimed they'd tried to get a hold of him multiple times, but he never got any calls from them.

Then they said if he didn't respond, they'd send a letter to all his points of contact and even to his place of employment. They said they'd try to get a manager or supervisor as a third-party witness. It felt really threatening.

After all that, they gave me two different phone numbers to call, which weren't even the same number they called me from. The whole thing just didn't make sense and seemed off.
