Paid $900 to get my brother out of jail and it was a scam

My dad got a three-way call that seemed to be from the local jail. A man told him he could get his brother out if he paid $900. He was really upset about his brother being in there, so he went to three different places trying to send this money. He finally got it paid.

As soon as the payment went through, the guy just hung up. Nothing happened. My father has never done anything like this before, he didn't know what was going on. He was just trying to help his brother. Now he's out that money and nothing is fixed.
