Phone call asking how to reach my ex about a debt

I got a call from someone saying they were trying to contact my former spouse about a debt collection. They wanted me to give them his info or tell them how to reach him.

The thing is, he doesn't have any outstanding debts. So I don't know what they were talking about. I didn't give them anything and just hung up.

It felt weird they called me about it. No company name was given or anything.
