Phone call pretending to serve papers with a number to call back

Some guy called pretending to be a courier. Said he needed to talk to my wife before serving us with legal papers. Wouldn't say much to me, just gave me a number to call—877-701-1705—and told me to ask for Herald ***** extension 512.

So I called it. Herald answered and wanted my wife's date of birth to verify her. She refused to give it. The whole thing felt off but they sounded really convincing, like they knew what they were doing. Just wanted to report it so nobody else falls for it.
