Phone call about Land Rover warranty with my VIN number

I got a call from this number (888) 805-3439 and the guy said he was from Land Rover. He had my address, my car info and my VIN number which he said he got from the DMV. He told me my warranty would only cover the power train on my new car and nothing else.

He was a really high pressure salesman. He said I would lose my warranty coverage unless I paid them $7500.00. When I told him no he kept pushing and pushing and kept saying he was from Land Rover. So I called the actual dealership and they told me it's a scam. This group gets a list of buyers from NYS or the DMV and tries to rip people off.
