Letter with fake check claiming to be from my VA lender

I got a letter in the mail that looked like an invoice. It had a mock check inside and said it was affiliated with the VA and my personal bank. They wanted me to call them right away about my VA loan benefits. It felt really pushy.

So I called the number (855) 815-7748 and they asked for a bunch of personal info. They made it sound like they were helping me with benefits. But after talking to my actual bank I found out they were trying to refinance my house without telling me. The address on the letter was 12075 E45th Ave Ste 200, Denver, CO 80239. I didn't lose any money but it was a scam.
