Text about a remote job from Upwork that felt off

Got a text from someone named Mia saying she was from the Upwork Hiring Team. Said they were hiring for remote full time and part time jobs with flexible hours and training provided. Told me to reply for info.

I replied but not with just "y" and still got another text asking if I was over 24 and if I could legally work in the US. So I asked them straight up if they were a scammer. Haven't heard back since.

I've never given my info to Upwork for anything like this. Upwork is for freelance work not regular hiring like they were talking about. The whole thing didn't make sense.
