Fake court summons email about a civil action case

I got an email that looked really real from something called the US District Court Rule 55 Unit. It said it was from Sarah Mitchell, Clerk of the Court, with a Certificate ID and everything. The date was July 26, 2026.

It said I was being served with a Summons and Complaint and had 21 days to respond or they'd get a default judgment against me. There was a link to view the summons and complaint.

I didn't open the link. The email wasn't from a government address, it came from [email protected]. So obviously it's a phishing scam trying to scare people.
