Paid $130 for passport help that was just a blank form
It's just a blank form that I still have to fill out myself. I didn't get any real help, no one reviewed anything, and nothing was processed for me. I basically paid $130 for a PDF that I could have found on my own in two minutes.
They make it seem like they are a legit service but they are not. This is not a real service at all. I'm out the money and I still have to do everything on my own. I just want people to know so they don't make the same mistake.
Third party passport site took my info and money
After that they sent me the application back and I had to send it all in with pictures and yet another check (I believe for $130), but at that point I got suspicious and called the Bank. They have reversed the charges. While I have asked the agency to delete my application and all personal info, I am still worried about identity fraud and have locked my credit with Equifax, Experian, and Transunion. I will also file a police report.
Paid for a passport online but it wasn't the real government site
After I did that I found out it was just some third party service. The money I paid wasn't the real government fee at all. I had to go through the actual official process and pay the real fees again on top of what I already lost.
The website was set up to look exactly like the government one and I feel like that's misleading. I just want my money back and I think they should change how that site looks so other people don't get tricked the same way.
Website took my money and personal info for passport renewal
They charged me $165. Now I’m worried about my identity and my money. I just wanted to renew my passport and I thought it was the official government site. It looked real enough to me.
Sponsored site asking for SSN and passport number for renewal
They asked for my Social Security number, my passport number, my father and mother’s names, city of birth, all that personal info. I gave it to them before I realized it wasn’t the real site. I lost $180.00.
Now I’m worried about my identity. The site is https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org/. No phone number or address listed anywhere. I feel stupid for falling for it but it looked so real.
Website that came up first for passport renewal took my money for a free form
They asked for my Social Security number and credit card info too which now I'm worried about. I emailed [email protected] but nobody replied. I feel stupid but it looked real.
