Paid $111 to a passport website that then told me to mail a check

I was trying to renew my passport online and this site, USPassportAndVisa.org, came up first. At a quick glance it looked like the official website. They had me pay $111 for the renewal.

Then after I paid, they just sent me a form to fill out and submit to the Department of State myself. They even told me to send a check for the fees. But I had already paid them the $111. It didn't make any sense. The email they used was [email protected].

Paid a website for passport renewal that seems like a scam

I got a website, USPassportAndVisa.org, that looks just like the real State Department site for renewing a passport. They asked for all my sensitive info, my Social Security number and date of birth and everything, saying it was for an online renewal. I paid them $130.

After the payment went through, all they gave me was a filled-out PDF of the government form. I still have to mail it in myself with another payment to actually renew my passport. The whole thing feels off. It seems like they just took my money and my personal information for basically nothing.

Paid a fake passport website $110 and gave them all my personal info

I found this site USPassportAndVisa.org that looked totally real, like it was the official Government Passport Service. It's not. I filled out their whole application. They ask for everything—your birthday, your address, your social security number.

Then it makes you pay $110 to submit the form. After I paid, all they did was send me a PDF of the document and said to mail it in myself. I gave them all my personal information and $110. The phone number listed is 321-221-5210 and the email is [email protected]. The whole thing feels like a scam for identity theft.

Paid for a passport and got a third-party service instead

I paid $111.12 to Uspassportandvisa.org thinking it was for an official passport. The website made it seem like it was the actual government application. Only after I was charged did I find out it was just for some separate document-prep service. That wasn't clear at all.

I never meant to pay a third party. If they'd said upfront they weren't the government and the passport fee wasn't included, I wouldn't have done it. I emailed [email protected] to ask for a refund. I tried to follow up, but then they just stopped answering me. They blocked my email so I couldn't even contact them anymore.

It feels like a misleading way to do business. Now I can't get my money back or even talk to them about it.

Misleading website for passport renewal charged me extra fees

I was looking to renew my passport and this site, uspassportandvisa.org, was the first search that popped up. I filled in all my information on their site. It was really misleading because it included the passport fee, or at least it seemed that way. So I paid them $111.12.

But then I still had to turn around and pay the government passport fee renewal separately. So I ended up paying twice. Their whole site felt off and now I'm out that money for basically nothing. I tried their support email and the phone number listed but got nowhere.

Charged me $119 for a passport service I didn't want

I got a text about updating my passport. It looked official so I clicked the link, which took me to Uspassportandvisa.org. I filled out some information on their site.

Next thing I know, $119 was taken from my account. I never agreed to any charge. I never even finished whatever they were offering. Now I'm worried they have my personal details from what I entered. I tried to find a real contact for them but there's nothing. The whole thing feels like a scam to get money and information.

Paid for passport forms on a fake government website

I found this website USPassportandVisa.org and it looked like a real government site. I thought the fee I paid would cover getting a passport. I paid $132.07.

The site took all my personal information. Later I found out the forms they fill out are free on the actual government website. They just take your info, put it in the free forms, and charge you for it.

I tried calling the customer service number they gave, (312) 221-5210. It always goes to a voicemail that says they'll call back. They never do. The email is [email protected]. It's just a scam.

Why is this website still up? They're taking people's money and sensitive information. It needs to be shut down.

Paid a website for passport renewal, turned out they just fill out a form

I was trying to renew my US passport and this website, USPassportandVisa.org, came up first. It looked totally official, like a government site, so I went ahead and filled out the application and paid the $111.12 fee. Then after I paid, they sent me a pdf application and instructions to mail it myself with another $130 to the actual State Department. That's when I realized it wasn't the real government website at all.

I contacted them right away to ask for my money back because the whole thing was so misleading. They never gave me a refund. All they said was that their website mentions they're a third party. But they never made it clear that the fee was just for them filling out a pdf form and had nothing to do with actually processing my passport renewal. I'm out over a hundred dollars for basically nothing.

Website took my money for passport help and sent nothing

I got a text about renewing my passport from this site uspassportandvisa.org. The phone number was (321) 730-2189. The website looks official, like a government site. They said they would help start the process and send me the stuff I needed in the mail.

I paid them $132.07. They didn't send me anything. All I got was a PDF file with my own information I typed in. Then they said I had to print that and send it to the government with a check. But they already took the money. It's a bunch of BS. They just took the money and that's it. Do not fall for it.

Got a fake passport website message, worried about my information

I got a message from a site called Uspassportandvisa.org. It was about applying for a passport. The address they gave was just KS, USA and the email was [email protected].

I looked into it and it's a fake website. It's set up to steal your identity. They try to get you to apply for a passport so they can take your personal information. I didn't lose any money but I'm really concerned about the people who might give them their details. It's an identity theft scam.

Paid for passport renewal help and got nothing for my money.

I found this website uspassportandvisa.org that said it was a passport renewal service. It looked legitimate so I went ahead and paid them $105. They charged my money but they didn't do anything for me. Nothing. The whole thing just shows as a passport renewal service but they don't actually help you. I paid for a service and got absolutely nothing in return.

Website uspassportandvisa.org tricked me on a passport renewal

I was trying to renew my US passport and searched on Google. The website uspassportandvisa.org came up as the first option. It looks official, like it's government affiliated, but it's not.

The site took all my personal information, including my full social security number, home address, place of work, and my full name. Then it charged me over $100. After I paid, I found out they can't even renew a passport. They just generate a form for you to send to the actual government, and then you have to pay the government another fee on top of that.

This site shouldn't be coming up in search results like that. It puts people at risk. I gave them all my sensitive info thinking it was legitimate.

Paid a website for a passport form that is actually free from the government

I went to what I thought was the official government website to apply for a passport. The site was https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org/passport-v3. It looked exactly like the real one and had the same kind of form to fill out. At the end, it charged a fee that seemed like it was for the passport book itself.

But all I got was a one-page application form. You can get that exact form for free on the actual government website. I paid $104.88. There's no customer service phone number listed anywhere on their site. I tried to contact them about my concern after I paid and I haven't heard back at all. Nothing.

I did a search online and it says this site is a scam that tricks people into paying for free government services. I just want my money back.

Website that looked official scammed me for passport renewal

I was looking to renew my passport and this site, uspassportandvisa.org, was the first one that came up. It even had an official-looking emblem. I went ahead and requested the online renewal.

It brought me to an application where I had to enter everything. My social security number, my passport number, my credit card number. After I submitted it, it just generated a prefilled government form and told me to mail it in with another payment. That's when I knew I got scammed.

I called my bank right away. They told me to cancel my credit card because the site wasn't secure. They also said I need to call the passport agency, get an IP pin from the IRS, and freeze my credit with all three bureaus. I'm out over $131 and I filed a report with the FTC. The phone number listed was (321) 221-5210.

Charged me over $100 for free passport renewal forms

I got a text about renewing my passport online. The website was https://uspassportandvisa.org/. It looked like the official place to do it, and the fee was around the normal cost, so I paid. It was $111.12.

All I got were some forms. The same forms you can get for free from the actual government. They're just selling free government forms. Now some third party has my Social Security number and my credit card information, after pretending to be a government agency. This feels really wrong.

Paid $125 for a passport help site and just got a free form

I saw this website uspassportandvisa.org that made it seem like an easy way to start your passport application, like they’d expedite the process. I’ve never had a passport before so I didn’t know any better. I put in all my information and it set up a payment for $125. I accepted it, but I never got a confirmation for my purchase. The only email I got was a pdf to print out—it was the same application packet you can get from the post office for free.
