I paid $260 to renew my passport online. Later I realized this isn't a government site at all. It's just some third party thing.
Now I'm out $260 and my passport still isn't renewed. I tried emailing [email protected] but nothing came of it.

After I paid, I realized the site didn't actually renew my passport. All it did was give me a PDF download of the forms I had already filled out. It told me to print and mail the packet along with my current passport. That's when I realized this was a misleading service and not the official U.S. government website.

They charged my credit card and then later I got an email saying my payment was refunded. The charge showed up under some name called e-forms. I waited and after the 8 day hold on the credit charge they went and charged my card again for the exact same amount. This time it came through under a different name, filler.com. So they took the money twice basically. They never sent anything back and I never got my passport renewed.

Turns out it's not a government site at all. They just give you a basic PDF form that I could have gotten for free from the actual government website. They charge like $88 or more just for that. I paid way more because I guess I added something or whatever.
I feel stupid about it honestly. The site address says CO, USA but there's no real company behind it. Just a third party charging fees for something that's free. I didn't get a passport, I didn't get any service, just a form I could've printed myself.
