Tracking said delivery attempted twice but no one came

I ordered some adult coloring books online and paid about $49 for everything. The tracking said they tried to deliver twice but couldn't complete it. I was home both times waiting. No one ever came to my door. I didn't get a note or anything.

It just doesn't make sense. If they really tried, I would have heard the doorbell or the dog would have barked. The package just sat there saying delivery attempted but I never got it. I don't know what happened but this is really frustrating.

Postcards saying my package is coming but nothing ever shows up

I keep getting these post cards in the mail from USPS saying my package is on the way and please be patient. I didn't order anything so I don't even know what package they're talking about. This has happened a few times now. The cards just show up at my house and that's it. No package ever comes. I don't know who is sending them or why. It's just weird getting mail like that for no reason.

Strange empty package and seeds sent to my house

I got a package through USPS on May 12, 2026 with some seeds in it. Then today May 14, 2026 I got another package but it was empty. I don't know who sent them or why. The return address said 70 E Hawthorne Ave, Valley Stream, NY 11580.

I just threw both packages away. I already reported it to Ecautious.com. If I get any more packages from USPS like this I am just going to send them back. This whole thing feels weird.

Text message about a held package with a strange link

Got a text from +63 961 531 0166 saying it was USPS. Said they tried to deliver a package but couldn't get a signature and now it's being held. They said I had to arrange pickup or redelivery before May 10 or it would get sent back.

There was a link in the message. It was usps.govoiut.shop/tbxb. That didn't look right to me so I didn't click it. They also said to reply with "1" if I wanted a new tracking link.

I never gave them any money or anything. I just thought it was weird and wanted to report it. No company name on the text besides USPS but the website doesn't seem like theirs.

Empty envelope with just cardboard inside from USPS

I got a piece of mail from USPS and when I opened it there was nothing inside except a piece of cardboard. Just a flat piece of cardboard. It came from some address in Valley Stream, NY, 70 E Hawthorne Avenue. I didn't order anything from that address. It was just an empty envelope with cardboard in it. Felt weird. No idea what it was supposed to be.

Got a random package with hair binders I never ordered

I got this small package from USPS and opened it up and there was two little black hair binders inside. The return address says 70 E Hawthorne Ave, Valley Stream, NY 11580. I never ordered nothing like that. Didn't pay anything for it but still it's weird getting stuff you didn't ask for. No idea who sent it or why. Just showed up at my door.

Got a letter from USPS about a check for my wife who passed away

I got this letter in the mail from USPS. It told me to call 888-788-4779. It said there was a check for $199 made out to my wife.

My wife is deceased. The letter made it sound like there was some kind of mortgage issue with the house. It said to call immediately.

I called the number. They were asking for information. The whole thing felt off. There shouldn't be a check in her name. I didn't give them anything, but it was upsetting to get this.
