Call about old debt from 2005 with no real law firm behind it

I got a call from a collection agency saying I owed money from 2005. When I told them I was in the military they quickly dropped the amount by 60%. That felt strange right away.

I asked for any documents proving the debt. All they sent me was a demand letter from Valor Legal Group. The letter wasn't signed by an attorney. I looked into it and the law firm doesn't seem to exist.

The phone number they used was (213) 721-0955 and they gave an address at 617 W. 7th St in Los Angeles. But I don't think any of it is real.
