Text about my van from someone who got my number on FB
Thing is I never put my phone number on Facebook. So right away that didnt make sense to me. I started looking into it and found the same number on Ecautious.com with the exact same message going to other people selling vans.
The number traces back to vanviewer.com in WA. I didnt lose any money but this is clearly a phishing thing.
Text about my van listing leading to a website referral
I said yes it was still available. Then they texted back saying they were asking for a friend and the friend already put a deposit on one. Then they said they sold their own van on www.VanViewer.com and suggested I try that.
It felt strange. No one actually wanted to buy my van. Just pushing me to some website. Similar thing happened to someone else here.
