Got a fake email about a payment that needed $500 to clear
Someone contacted me about buying something I was selling. They said they sent the payment but I'd get an email because it was from a business account. I got the email and it said I had to pay $500 first for the payment to clear. It told me to call the number on the email for Venmo customer service. The whole thing felt off. I never called the number.
