Got explanation of benefits for a knee brace I never got and don't need.
I never asked for any of this stuff. I never got it. The ironic part is I'm a paraplegic. I use a wheelchair. Why would I need a knee brace? It makes no sense.
I reported it to United Healthcare as fraudulent. Just beware of this.
A company in Texas filed a fake insurance claim using my information
I live in Michigan. I never used this Texas company for any orthotic item or service, ever. I called my insurance to report it as fraud.
What’s really strange is that when the insurance denied the claim, I never got a bill from Verisola. It makes me think they just wanted the insurance to pay for fake services. They wouldn't bill the patient because it was never real to begin with. The fact they have my name and insurance details is really alarming.
