Fake invoice sent pretending to be my manager

I work in accounts payable for my company and I got an email from [email protected] with an invoice for services they said they were going to do. The email looked like it was forwarded from my manager, like he had been talking to them directly about this work.

There was an invoice attached and also a W9 form. But when I looked closer the email was forwarded from a fake email address that just had my manager’s name on it. He never talked to this company at all and none of those emails were really from him. It was a phishing thing trying to get us to pay a fake bill.
