Called saying I owed money from a loan I don't remember

They called me and said I owed money from a personal loan I took out in 2021 for VIP loans. I didn't recall taking any loan out during that time. But they said if I didn't pay $1,000.00 right then I would be served with a court date and my paychecks would be garnished.

I told them I didn't have that money so they agreed to settle for $400.00 and set me up on a monthly payment plan. I'm still trying to figure all this out but I'm 99% sure it's a scam. The number was (619) 488-4809 from CA. I already lost $400.00 to them.
