Letter saying my Kia warranty needed activation or I’d be liable for repairs
Got a letter in the mail about my extended warranty on the new Kia I bought in February. It said I needed to call this number to activate it or I’d be financially responsible for any repairs after the factory warranty runs out. Said I had to call within 5 days.
I called the number, and a guy named Daniel told me I had to pay a $235 activation fee. Then he said I’d owe $248 a month for 18 months after that. He said it would show up as “Walco” on my bank statements. I paid the $235 but something felt off about it. I haven’t gotten any proof or paperwork.
