Walmart took my debit card money for a gift card that says cash only

I got scammed by someone on the phone, they told me to buy a gift card at Walmart. So I went and bought it with my debit card. But on the receipt it says right there cash only for gift cards. I did not see that until after.

I called Walmart and they told me I was not supposed to pay with a debit card but they still took my money anyway. The money was not on the gift card at all. So I lost 600 dollars. Now they say to get a refund I have to go through some third party called Green Dot. I called them and they asked for my CashApp to put the money back. That felt strange, like they were trying to scam me too. I just want my money back.
