Got a weird voicemail about my gas bill from a strange number

I got a voicemail from someone calling herself miss Morgan. She said she was calling about reviewing the supply charges on my Washington natural gas statement. She told me to call back at 571-667-2006 and to have my statement ready. She gave a reference number, W 160.

The whole thing felt off. I don't recognize that number, and the message just seemed strange for a utility company. I didn't call back. I'm not sure what this was about, but it didn't seem right.

Got a strange voicemail about my gas bill from a random number

I got a voicemail from someone saying they were trying to reach me about my Washington Natural Gas statement. The message said it was an important matter to review charges. They left a number, 571-747-1005, and told me to call back and have a statement ready. They gave a reference number, WXXX.

The call came from Virginia. It felt off. I don't know why Washington Natural Gas would be calling from a Virginia number. I didn't call them back. I didn't lose any money, but it was weird and made me nervous. I just got this one voicemail.
