Scammers copied my friend’s account and I lost 61k

I got a message on WhatsApp from what I thought was my friend. The account looked exactly like theirs, same picture and everything. So I trusted it.

They asked me to wire transfer some money, and I sent 61k to an account I thought was mine. But it wasn’t. Later when I asked about the funds they just gave me the run around.

I don’t know how they mirrored my friend’s account like that. I just feel sick about it.
