Shoes I ordered are not wide and smell like chemicals

I ordered some wide step shoes because I need wide sizes. They are not wide at all. The fit is terrible. Plus the quality is really poor, like cheap material. And there is this horrible chemical smell coming from them. I can't even wear them. I spent about $100 on this.
