Emailed about a rental and got a sketchy application link

I saw an ad on craigslist for a rental and emailed them about it. Then I started getting text messages from someone asking about my preferred move-in date, when I could come by for a showing, if I wanted a short or long rental plan, and if I'd had any problems with a previous landlord.

Then they asked for my email even though I had already emailed them first. They sent me an email from [email protected] and it went straight to spam. The subject line said "soft credit and background application" and had a link to "APPLY" at anything4us.com/2072. They wanted a $1 application fee and said it would be fully refunded when we meet in person. That just felt off so I blocked the number and came here to report it.
