Called about an old HSBC loan and they had my social security number
I went onto their website, williamspeters.com and saw they had all of my information including full social security number, DOB, address. I found a blurb online that said they are a "high pressure, fraudulent debt collection operation using aggressive tactics with multiple reports on the Ecautious.com Scam Tracker. I am very concerned that my information is out there and don't know how to rectify this.
Getting threatening calls and voicemails about a legal issue
They say they're calling about a legal issue. They told me it would be "escalated" if I didn't call back or go to their website. In one message, they threatened to use "skiptracing" to find me in person if I didn't contact them.
I never signed up for anything with them. I don't know what they're talking about. The whole thing feels like a threat to scare me.
Got a threatening voicemail from a debt collector I've never heard of
I pay all my bills, so they can kiss my [censored]. I never got an email, just this call. They're listed in Riverhead, NY. I don't owe them anything, but they said I did and took $100 from me. This whole thing is a scam.

I actually declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy back in January of 2025. This debt isn't even on my credit report. It's not there.
The whole thing is a scam, I know that. But it's weird how meticulously documented it all seems. They had details. It felt off from the start.

Got repeated voicemails from a firm about a personal business matter
After a few of these messages, I called the number back. A man answered and just said "yeah." He asked why I was calling. I told him to take my number off their list. He was really rude about it and just hung up on me. The whole thing feels like a scam.
