Phone call saying I owe Providian bank debt with a case number

They called me and said there was a case number. I don't remember the number exactly. They said the debt was $5293.95 from Providian bank, but they would take a one time payment of $1514.82 to settle it.

The email they gave was [email protected] and the address they said was Olympic Blvd in Los Angeles. I never heard of this company before. It felt strange.

I didn't pay anything because I wasn't sure about it. Just wanted to report it.
