Email about a 5-year membership that turned out to be a scam

I got an email from Worldwide Women’s Association asking me to join. They said a 5-year membership was $99. I thought it sounded okay so I paid it.

Then they just disappeared. No reply to anything. I got suspicious and found a LinkedIn page where other people said it was a scam. I’m so mad at myself for falling for this.

Their website is www.worldwidewomensassociation.com and their email is [email protected]. I lost $99. Just wanted to put this out there.

Phone call about a membership I never applied for

Got a call from (775) 243-9710 saying they were responding to my membership application. I didn't apply for anything with them. They said it was an association for women with networking, branding, an SEO website, and job stuff. Sounded okay I guess.

They said they'd send a welcome package by email right after the call. Never got it. Tried calling back and emailing [email protected] but nothing. The website is www.worldwidewomensassociation.com and the address they gave is NV, USA. Lost $299.00. Just feels weird.
