Paid $149 for tech help and then they wanted more money
I was on HP assistant trying to get help for my computer to print. After some time, they told me if I wanted additional help I had to agree to a one time charge of $149. I agreed and after much time I did get my problem resolved.
Then they wanted additional money for 3, 5 and more years. I said no but I had already agreed to pay and I gave them my credit card info. Their website is XTech Assist and they have an address on Edgewater Drive in Orlando. I intend to call my credit card company and put this in dispute.

Tech support scam call led to my Chase card being compromised
I had the exact same thing happen to me as the previous guy described. I was on my computer and got a popup that looked like it was from HP so I went to an HP site. Then I called the number 1(800) 867-9181 and this company XTech Assist answered. They said they needed to fix my computer.
They took my credit card info and charged me $200. I didn't realize until later it was a scam. I called Chase and they got me a new card and we are watching to not let it go through when it posts. Got a new card. The email they used was [email protected] and they are based out of FL, USA. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.
