Got a fake final notice about a home loan warranty I never had.
I got this "final notice" out of the blue for a warranty I never had. It was about my original home loan, which has been paid off for years. The notice says "Secured by: **Name of Financier - PLEASE CALL TO VERIFY**" and then it just says "XYZ TRUST - PLEASE CALL" like that's a real business name. There's no return address or any contact info except for a sketchy phone number.
The postage area says the zip code is 92799, so maybe California? They're claiming my warranty is about to expire, but I've never had one. I have no doubt if I called, they'd just try to take my credit card or bank info and have a field day with it. It's an obvious scam.
