Purse from craft-folk.com is a printed fake
Well, the design arrived printed on cheap material. It wasn't hand drawn or anything. There is no woman artist behind any of this, it's all fake. We paid 59 dollars for it. Just feels like a total lie to get people to buy.
Article about bee hotels linked to a scam site
The site had a Shop pay link which I've used a lot before and trust. But my card got declined. When I started looking into it more I found out this is a recent scam site. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else tries to order from them.
Handmade quilt turned out to be plastic from China
What showed up in the mail was plastic, obviously made in China. Nothing like the pictures on their website at all. I emailed them at [email protected] asking for a refund. They finally wrote back and told me to send the item back to an address in HONG KONG, and I have to pay for the shipping myself. Plus they said I would only get 25% of my money back.
The weird part is their emails say the company is based in London. But the website says the stuff is made here in the USA. None of it adds up. I just want my money back for something that wasn't what they said it was.
Advertised as hand sewn but came cheap and fake
What showed up was not hand sewn at all. No appliqués on it, and the zipper wasn't YKK like they said. It's just really cheaply made, looks mass produced. I emailed them at [email protected] but no reply.
Same thing happened to other people I guess. Just want my money back.
Bee hotel website story is completely fake
The phone number they list is 1(724) 865-6422 and the address says Level 7 World Trust Tower in Hong Kong. I paid about 90 dollars. What I got in the mail was clearly a cheap mass produced thing from China. Terrible materials. Not handcrafted at all. The whole story on the website is made up. Just a drop ship scam. Do not buy from them.
Fake craftsman site took my money and ignored cancelation
I realized it was a counterfeit product situation and tried to cancel my order before anything was even shipped. They won't honor the cancelation at all. I just wanted my money back since they never sent anything. I lost $124.80 to these people. They just ignored my request.
Rain drums not handmade like website said
Well, I emailed them because these were definitely not handmade. Turns out I had to return them to China. They said if I wanted to just keep them they'd give me a 25% refund. I went back and forth with them for two days and finally they offered me 50% back and I could keep the drums. I figured I wouldn't get any more from them so I took the 50%. I paid $68 total. I saw a lot of bad reviews after all this happened, but when I bought them I only saw good ones.
Newspaper article about retiring weaver turned out to be a scam
Then I get a text from the number I reported, from somebody named James or that's what he said his name was. He was verifying that I didn't have an apartment number in my address. I said no, it's a home. Then he immediately followed up saying if I acted now I could get an extra 20% off.
I did a little research and found out I was being scammed. I contacted my credit card company and I'm contacting you guys as well. This man refused to cancel my order. I also sent a message to the company through their website and an email, but both have gone unanswered.
Bags from craft-folk.com are nothing like the photos
The bags came and they are awful. There is no hand quilting at all. No cute outlines or any detailed stitching. Its just cheap printed fabric that looks like it came from china. I have the bags as proof. I emailed them trying to get my money back because their website says they give full refunds but they refused. I had to go through my bank to get my money back and I did get it all back.
I just want this story and this website shut down. Its a total scam and I dont want anyone else to fall for it.

But when it got here, it didn't match at all. The tag inside said something different, and the whole thing just felt off. It wasn't hand quilted like they said. Paid 59 dollars for it. I'm stuck with this thing now. The address on the site is just Sheep Cove, NC, which seems weird too. Anyway, I just wanted to put this out there so other people know.
Fake rug from craft-folk.com not what they said it was
Ordered a handwoven rug from Craft-Folk got a rubber mat instead
What showed up was a cheap printed rubber mat. No receipt, no return label. I emailed them asking for a label and they said I had to ship it back to China on my own dime. That’s when I knew.
I called my bank and reversed the charge and got a new card. It’s not even the $49 that bothers me that much. It’s that they have my address and everything now.
Bee hotel looked nothing like the pictures on their site
When I emailed them to complain, the person who wrote back basically laughed at me. Like they thought my complaint was a joke. I was really disappointed by that.
So I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Then during the dispute, Craft-folk told the credit card company I never even contacted them. But I did. I have the email where they replied to me. So they lied about that.

I reported this company to my Credit Card Company already. My charges are being disputed now. The phone number they had was (724) 865-6422 and the email was [email protected]. Just felt wrong after I placed the order. No reply when I tried to ask about shipping.
Ordered a mason bee house from an elder man and got nothing
Never got anything in the mail. No tracking number no reply when I emailed [email protected]. I tried calling the number on the site too 724-865-6422 and nobody picks up. Just feels like I got taken for the money.

Ordered a bicycle from a Vermont craftsman but had to return it to Hong Kong
The wheel diameter was supposed to be 16 inches but it was only 4.75 inches. The video showed a frog leg pedalling the bicycle but the leg was just one piece of stationary metal. Total weight was supposed to be about 4 lbs but it was 1.2 lbs including packaging. Total height was listed as 56 inches but it was 41 inches.
When I tried to start a return, I found out I had to send it back to Hong Kong. No company name on the box or anything. Felt strange.

I tried emailing them at [email protected] but nobody ever wrote back. The website is still up though which is weird. I saw someone else on Ecautious.com had the exact same problem so I know it's not just me.
