Ordered a quilted bag from craft-folk.com and got a cheap knock off instead
What showed up was not even close. The material feels like fake fur or felt lamb ears, not quilted at all. Like a 3D printed mass produced thing with no texture. One bag the stitching was already unraveling. No tag from Martha or anything.
I emailed them at [email protected] and they had no problem telling me to return it to Hong Kong. But the charge on my credit card says London. So that didn't make sense. I just want my money back.
Ad for craft website with fake AI images and reviews
I caught it before they could take my money. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge right away. They stopped it. But it’s just weird how real they tried to make it look.
Ordered a handmade Vermont product but got cheap Chinese junk
What showed up was maybe a third of the size they showed on their Google website. It was clearly mass produced in China, really cheaply made. I paid $80 for this. I feel like I got totally misled.
I tried emailing [email protected] but no reply. The phone number they had was 724-865-6422 but I'm not sure it's even real. Just feels like a complete scam honestly.
Ordered hand painted flamingos and got cheap metal you have to bend yourself
What showed up was just thin stamped metal pieces that I have to bend myself to even make them move like in the video. Doesnt even look like the same thing they show online. Cost over thirty bucks each and they are complete junk. I took pictures of what they advertise next to what you actually get.
Ordered a handmade US tote bag, got cheap Chinese knockoff
When the package showed up it came from a Chinese shipper. The tote is not even close to what they showed online. Way lower quality and none of the embroidered accents that were advertised. I've tried contacting them but no response at all.
Bought a bag from a fake retirement story about Maggie
Turns out all the photos of people on their site are AI. The names are super generic and the background stories about the sellers are fake too. Their return address is in China not California like they said about Maggie. I never even got a confirmation email. I already disputed it with my bank. Just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it. This place needs to be shut down.
Ordered handmade cedar bee houses but got cheap bamboo instead
When I tried to get a refund they said no unless I shipped the items back to Hong Kong. That didn't make sense. I just wanted my money back for the false advertising. I'm out $150 now and stuck with these junk bee houses.
Website says retiring artisan from Vermont but stuff ships from China
The website says they use USPS but the tracking number is a GOFO number out of California. Their website mentions Hong Kong. American Express shows a London location with a Pennsylvania phone number. If you do get anything it is cheap knock offs. You have to pay to send it back to China to get a refund.
I sent an email to [email protected] asking them to cancel. I lost 130 dollars. American Express said they will dispute the charge once the two week window is up if the product has not shipped.
Ordered a hand quilted tote bag with 3D flowers and got something totally different
The inside is supposed to have floral cloth lining but it's plastic. It's also supposed to come with a duster bag to keep it nice and a letter of authenticity. None of that was in there. The bag is way smaller than what they said too. I spent $59.99 on this. Their phone number is (724) 865-6422 and email is [email protected]. I have pictures of what I got versus what was on the site.
Ordered a Snoopy wind twirler and got a flat piece of junk
It looks like something from the dollar store. Plus it doesn’t even spin in the wind. I paid $40.00 for this and it’s a total waste. Their phone number is (724) 865-6422 and email is [email protected].
Fake article about old man selling last batch of bee houses
So I went to the website craft-folk.com and they had all these other handmade crafts from rural US. Then I noticed every product was made by some elderly person going out of business and selling their last batch. That felt off. Checked their contact info and it's an address in Hong Kong. Looked up reviews and everyone says it's a scam site. I didn't buy anything but it's still frustrating.
Those handmade bee blossoms I ordered were nothing like the picture
Well what I got was not what was in the pictures at all. The pictures made them look several inches across but they are only about one inch. Tiny little things.
So I asked for a refund and they told me to contact some address in Guangzhou, China. Not North Carolina. Obviously. I sent them a bunch of emails and never got a single reply back. I saw online that hundreds of other people got taken by this too.
Facebook ad about sick lady selling her last bee hotels
They showed up yesterday and they are nothing like what was advertised. The ends of the bamboo have jagged edges. Some of the tubes are completely blocked and a lot of them are blocked partway down the tube. It cost me $143.97. Their website is https://craft-folk.com/cart and they have an address in Los Angeles, Dept CA 5215 South Boyle Ave Building 2, 90058.
Craftfolk is a scam
This was not what was advertised.
Then to add salt to the wound, an acceptable return would have to be sent to China.
Now they are advertising in Apache Junction, AZ.
BUYER BEWARE!
Bee house was nothing like what they advertised
They have a 30 day return policy but I found out you have to pay return freight to China. I only lost $100 and it would cost almost that to ship it back so I doubt I'd even get a refund. This was just an ad that came up on Google. I looked at the reviews after and saw a bunch of other people saying the same thing. It's false advertising.
Ordered from a craft site that said made in North Carolina but nothing came
Ordered a Snoopy wind spinner but got flat metal pieces instead
The website talks a lot about how great the quality is. They also post fake positive reviews on Trust Pilot because the real reviews are terrible. I paid $70.20 for this and it’s not what they advertised at all. Their email is [email protected]. I’m pretty frustrated.
I would have to ship mine back to HONG KONG and worse yet, they said I have to ship it back within 2 weeks. There is no way it will arrive in time and my refund will be denied. Scam website, do not recommend!
Website sold a fake bee hotel from someone named Dot
What I got was not hand-made at all. It was cheap and clearly a counterfeit. I paid $72.00 for it. The website is still up and running like nothing happened. I tried emailing [email protected] but no reply. Their phone number is (447) 974-5615. Nothing about this felt right.
Ordered handmade bee houses, got cheap junk from China instead
What showed up was 3 little crappy 6-inch octagon things. Look nothing like what I ordered. Total bait and switch. I didn't read the fine print return policy until after I got them. It says you have to email [email protected] first, and if they accept the return they'll send you a label. Then you mail them to some address in Guangzhou, China. So it's not even from North Carolina. I emailed them but I don't expect any reply. Lost $114.73. My next move is to dispute with my credit card. Le sigh.
