Someone on TikTok pretending to be a realtor took two hundred dollars from me
I found this person on TikTok who was saying they help people find second chance living arrangements. They asked for my full name, address, and birthday, and even how many kids I have. It all seemed normal at first.
I sent two hundred dollars through Apple Pay. That was the mistake. After I sent the money they only wanted to talk through text, not on the phone. That made me feel suspicious. They never asked for my social security number to do a background check or a residential check, which was another red flag.
So they took my money and I never heard anything about any housing. Just a scam.

I saw a video on TikTok about a window a/c unit deal and it looked legit so I went for it. The site seemed fine at first. But then the payment went through as a totally different company on my bank account.
They sent me some tracking info that was fake. I tried to email their support and it got flagged as a scam. Lost like $94.97 on this. Just a complete waste.

I took an IQ test on TikTok for .99 cents. Next thing I know they charged me $39.99 for a monthly subscription I never approved. The company has no website to dispute anything so I had to change my credit card number.
The credit card company saw it was a scam and gave me the money back. But still it was a hassle. I just wanted the test for a dollar not a monthly thing.

I saw a post on TikTok for this round chair big enough for two people. Boneless piece of furniture. Looked nice so I ordered it on April 26, 2026. Paid $17.98.
They kept sending me updates saying it was moving out of the country. Then they claimed they made several delivery attempts. I work from home. I was here every single time they said they tried to deliver. Nobody showed up.

I saw this product on TikTok and it said free shipping so I bought it through Klarna. About an hour later I got a text from the seller saying I needed to pay another $30 for shipping. That didn’t make sense because the listing said complimentary shipping.

I saw this live review on TikTok of a pot set, some real people showing it off and talking about it. So I bought it. Cost me about 28 bucks. I figured if they got real people doing a live thing it must be legit.

I got tricked into opening a store on their platform. They told me I had to pay a security deposit first so I did.
Then out of nowhere they suspended my store and froze all my money. They said it was because of some reason that didn’t make sense. It felt completely made up.
